This is the most recent thing I've finished. I started this with just a little loop on 8-28-09. It took shape real quick and I had a good amount of it done within a week or so. There was a sample I'd been wanting to use for a long time and when I heard this track I knew it had to go in there. It's from the movie Firestarter. It's the sound of Charlies Dad's mind control. He puts his hands on the side of his head and makes people do what he says, or he can make a payphone shoot out change. Either way, it makes his nose bleed. I always thought it was a really cool and trippy noise. Perfect for this track. So after illegally downloading the whole movie in order to get it I still had to pull a clean sample. Not easy as there's often music, talking, screaming, whatever, over a lot of them. I combined a few of them and made it in time with whatever beat I was using and boo bam. Enjoy.
Phenedate - Rocking Horse
A graveyard, the cutting room floor, a time capsule, a hyperbaric chamber. All the music that just never made it to any place I ever considered finished. Some are just cool loops, other are little ditties that I know won't ever get messed with again, others are so old that I don't have the original pieces for. Will I revisit it? Maybe. Until then, it ends up here.

Dead Satellites
I saw this movie Sunshine directed by Danny Boyle a while back. It really grabbed me. Especially the sound design and music. Gave it a real nice eerie feeling. I made this track with that movie firmly in my head at 3 am a few days after seeing it. In fact, I was so tired that while I was listening to it I thought the crashing and banging noises at the beginning were people trying to break into my house. I had also been listening to Nine Inch Nails' Ghosts album quite a lot. So a kind of slowed down live playing sound was what I was going for. I kind of threw this together in a few hours. After a while I added the sample from the movie that really inspired the track. That would be towards the end. It's the Icarus 1 distress signal. Very awesome noise if you've seen the movie...and awesome if you haven't. Enjoy.
